I really like the newsboys style, and their lyrics! To ME....they really do an amazing work for God! They use their gift in a unique, but catchy way!.... They are a great band! (They do sing a TAD awkward at times, but it is cool! The lyrics are the best!)

P.S. I have Thrive... that is a COOL CD. Adoration is awesome too! I LOVE AMAZING LOVE IN THEIR VERSION! That ROCKS! Toodloo!

You should seriously check out Not Ashamed, Going Public, and Take Me To Your Leader. All three are excellent albums (although personally, I think Not Ashamed's shining moments were only three songs, but those three songs make the album, IMO). Going Public and Take Me To Your Leader are all-around great albums.

They're the band that got me into music. I have all but two of their releases, except two that can only be found on ebay. I don't suggest getting any of their first three, but anything else is fantastic, especially step up to the microphone, thrive, and newsboys remixed (that is more for the hardcore fan, however). I'll never forget the spinning drum machine at Festival Con Dios and the Thrive tour. They're the one CCM band that I have respect for, and I have a lot of it.

Their first three, as in the records they put out in the 80s, where they sounded like a hair band?

For the first three (Read All About It, Hell Is For Wimps, Boyz Will Be Boyz), they were the epitome of a hair band.

The Newsboys were my first band...and they are the best and favorite. I love them to death and have even written to them about how they changed my life. They continue to blow people away with awesome shows and amazing albums.
