Sources close to Mark Martin, operator of www.exadventist.com, and Seinor pastor of Calvery Community Chruch in PHEONIX Arizona, tell me that a book detailing the SDA mormon connection is in the works and is due out later this year. Reportedly the book details the connection between the mormon prophet Joseph Smith and the SDA prophet Ellen White. for further information contact www.exadventist.com.

I remember that the Mormons were quite active in Boston and portland Me area in the 1820's 30's before moving west and Rochester Ny was there home base, both of which were places where the Millerites and the Sabbath keeping adventist were abundant.

Let’s see now . . . Joseph Smith died in Illinois in 1844 while Ellen White was a 16-year-old invalid in Maine. Yes, I’m sure he must have influenced her a lot! BTW, have you seen this statement from her? It’s from the introduction to Spiritual Gifts, vol. 2, that gave her life story up to 1860:
As the cry of Mormonism is often raised, especially in the west, at the introduction of the Bible argument of the perpetuity of spiritual gifts, I have felt anxious that my brethren should know what my experience has been, and where it has been. {2SG iv.1}
When at Knoxville, Iowa, March, 1860, we learned that a man had been reporting that he knew me and my husband twenty years ago, when we were leaders among the Mormans [Mormons] at Nauvoo! At that time I was only twelve years old! {2SG iv.2}

A little research goes a long ways!

I have stated that there is a book coming out. I have not stated nor has anyone stated that they believe the claim. I will evaluate the information on it's own. In my review of SDA history, that question did come up. It looks all to suspicious that they ended up in Rochester, NY the birth place of Mormonism and that the Mormons were active in New england during the 1820's and 1830's. hum more then a concidence to me. Maybe it is nothing and maybe there is something that is there. For you conklin you are a believer and there is nothing that is going to change you mind not even the hard cold facts.

Since I am the first an only one to have done the kind of study that Dr. Veltman recommended 20 years ago your claim is a bald-faced lie.

conklin calm down, now one was yanking your chain. It was not an attack just an observation. In the years that I have been here I have not seen you change your mind once on any issue. so my observation is base on what I have observed. it was not an attack. I am sorry you took it that way. you take things way to personally. Since you put yourself "out there" as an expert you should be mature enough to take the heat

now one was yanking your chain.

You were.

It was not an attack just an observation.

A lie is never an observation. You need to dramtaically improve your powers of observation.

In the years that I have been here I have not seen you change your mind once on any issue.

Well, if you had asked me about the plagiarism issue three years ago i would have told "I don't know." After a few years of working on it I realized that I kn ew nmore about it than you or anyone else that has come here--and none of the critics have ever admitted that it was I who was right and that they were wrong on this issue.

you take things way to personally.

Another false assertion. BTW, you mean "too."

Since you put yourself "out there" as an expert you should be mature enough to take the heat

That is another bald-faced lie. I have never ever made myself out to be an "expert"--like an expert in the fieldf of plagiarism (St. Onge) said "I'm enough of an expert to know that there are no living experts. And very few dead ones." That's because we have realized how complex the issue is--the critics do not know what they are talking about and they don't know that they don't know. I know more than you about that issue, but that doesn't make me an expert. Not by a long shot.

Secondly, you aren't qualified to dish out any heat.

you said it you are a know it all

I said I know more--not all.

Another false assertion. BTW, you mean "too."
this is the kind of pettyness i am talking about,

Just doing a bit to improve your grammar. Also you should capitalize the first word of each sentence and the word "I". You look better when you communicate by accpeted standards--otherwise the medium becomes the message and people won't see what you are trying to say.

Secondly, you aren't qualified to dish out any heat.
you don't know me to know if I am quallifed or not.

Your grammar says otherwise. You should have learnbed how to capitalize the fiorst word in every sentence back in grade school. Then there's your reading skills where you assume "more" equals "all."
