New Years Poem

I know it's way past New Years but I think my New Years poem says a lot about what's going on today:

A year has ended my Lord my God
I grieve to know its pains
One wishes you'd lift your staff, your rod
The world has gone insane
It mocks our God, It shames our past
It wallows in the filth
One hopes one day my God at last
Will fix His world like tilth
A land that's plowed and ready new
For the harvest that will come
A land that once again pursues
A heart that beats as one
There is One God and Savior too
The world must know this truth
That sin without a sacrifice
Will sure destroy our youth
We have one hope and that is Christ
A solid rock that lasts
If only all the world would turn
From their wicked past
God made man and woman too
He called them all His child
And yet somehow along the way
Their hearts became so wild
They bow to beasts and honor not
The God of all creation
They trade the truth for wicked lies
And mock our holy nation
There is one God and Savior Too
He waits for more to come
Until that day when it is finished
And we will be as one!
