Hi folks

After months of lurking, watching you guys answer questions, and dwelling on those answers, I've come to realise that WoF is the best possible fit for what I believe in my heart. What is so beautiful to me personally, is that the WoF teachings are such a snug fit with what the Holy Spirit has been teaching me since my childhood years. I was introduced to WoF by a member who's not on-line much any more. Through all our chats, it became clear to me that WoF is where I feel at home at. It's great to apply the written word in our lives, and see the Biblical promises being fulfilled. :amen:

Welcome friend. Looking forward to many fruitful discussions. Iron sharpen iron; all glory to our Lord.

Peace...

Thanks bro.

To me, what stands out in WoF teachings is that one word "Faith". I like the plain simplicity of just applying the word, believing it and seeing the results. I've seen many denominations that try to "explain out of existence" the simple Biblical truth that all things are possible for those who believe. As in the words of Jesus, where He said that by faith one can tell a mountain to be cast into the sea, and it will indeed happen, if we truly believe.

My first job was one that my parents sort of chose for me. It didn't pay very well to be honest. As time went by, I left and took another job - this without consulting the Lord at all. So, after 5 years, they laid me off. After about 4 months at home, the truth came to me - that my mistake was not relying on the Lord to provide, and repented from it. What was so wonderful, was that the Lord provided more than enough for us to get through the 4 months of unemployment. But, oh boy - when I started following His will in choosing an employer - things just went better and better. This month's pay-check is about 10 times more than what it used to be since getting laid off that time. It equates to an average increase of 23% per year - which, over 11 years, is IMHO, of Biblical proportions. The results from doing things His way is so much better than what I can ever hope to accomplish on my own.

Right now, I'm thinking of a piece of scripture that says "Seek ye first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things will be added unto you."

That is so true - after all, we have all our needs met. We are able to go eat out whenever we feel like it. It's a blessing to know that the word is alive, that it applies to the here and now of our daily lives.

And faith is so much the key - I recognise that my faith can always be grown some more. Right now, I can command flu symptoms to vanish, and they do. I still need my Asthma inhaler though - but that can change indeed. :)

He Andreha,

I am very new to this forum also. Recently, I have for the most part reviewed all the threads since the beginning. I believe its around 136 pages or so. It took me four months to catch up to page 1.

I have read several books on may christian subjects and will continue to do so, however, this forum is something else! Any particular book will only have the author's point of view, here you get it all, on every side of the discussion, which is mainly "Word of Faith".

I have printed several threads pertaining to my main interests. There is one particular subject discussed over the entirety of this forum where I went thru 3 ink cartridges. This particular one was very popular and spanned several times back thru the years. Now I have them all in printable version for my library.

I am at "awe" at what I am learning on this forum, and they definately are family.

Welcome aboard and have fun!

Nice to have you on board andreha - how awesome is it when we see the provision of God in our own lives (apart from reading about it happening to someone else)! No one will ever be able to take that faith away from you!

Glad to have you around. :)

Thanks bro :)

Indeed, it's marvellous to see the word of God come alive for ourselves. :amen:

Well hello and welcome. Glad to meet a new person. Where you from?

Thanks :)

I was born in Johannesburg, South Africa - and grew up in the surrounding area. Came to the Lord at age 5, without any of my family knowing. :)

Welcome Friend, it's an honor to meet you:)

Thanks :)

For the longest time, I've been searching for a group who believes the Bible, applies it and lives it - finally, I'm home. :)

Oh indeed - faith really makes the difference. You know, the practical lessons that the Holy Spirit gave me really gave colour and life to the written word. Boy, oh boy - like when Jesus said that if we told a mountain to go jump in the sea, and we truly believed, that it would come to pass.

It reminds me of a time, when me and my wife went on vacation at the seaside. We got there, unpacked and relaxed for a bit, after the long drive. So, next moment, this insect starts kicking up a tremendous racket. My heart sank, and then, the Spirit reminded me of what happened to that fig tree after the Lord spoke to it.

Wondering if I could silence that insect by faith, the Spirit reminded me of what the Lord said about having faith, even like a mustard seed. It gave me the assurance needed, and after speaking silence over the insect, it was silent.

The next day, after waking up, the same loud noise was audible, and without hesitation, I spoke silence over it, and it became quiet.

The third day, however, was a disappointment to hear it again. The enemy fired his darts of doubt at me, but the Spirit gave me the support needed. After deciding that my only mistake was targeting one insect at a time, and not the whole lot, on a permanent basis, again I declared silence, but over all of them in the region, into eternity.

For the rest of our stay, they were dead quiet. Even travelling several miles around the area, not a single one could be heard again. Even several years later, in the same area, not a single one could be heard ever again. When the Bible tells us that we have dominion, it's not kidding around!

Welcome aboard Andreha,

Like you I changed my icon to Word of Faith. When I listen to wof teaching its as if there is a shift into a higher gear.

Indeed, adding faith to the word is a reaction to behold. :)

You know, I'm thinking back of another wonderful teaching on faith that the Spirit gave me. It was early in the morning, on my way to work. Since it was so peaceful and quiet, I usually took the time to pray, and to listen to the Lord. After some time, an annoying rattle started coming from the passenger door. After being reminded of the power of faith, I declared silence over the noise, as it was disrupting my time with the Lord. After about 4 years - it's still dead quiet, and no mechanic touched that door. :D
