New Spirit
I have promised to put my spirit in you.
Give you a new heart,
Take the old one of stone,
Exchange it for a heart of flesh,
This so you can obey my commands.
Walk in my statutes,
Know how to live,
Trust my leading in all things.
Understand why your old spirit had to go,
Realize that old nature had to die,
For you could not become new,
while the old man had his hold on you.
You are not among them, who shrink back,
However, among those who believe and are saved.
Your faith in Me gives the victory.
Victory over the sin and the grave,
Therefore, what is it that condemns you?
Whatever it is, it is not I.
With Me is no more condemnation.
Stand up, be healed, and claim that new spirit.
