New Server! :)

Okay, we are now on our new server!

Sorry that it took longer than expected. First of all the database was bigger than I thought it was - took over 12 hours to transfer over. Then I realized I had to move my domain name to the new server - this took our domain offline for 24-72 hours because the DNS information takes that long to propagate through the whole internet to all the ISPs.

At least now everything seems to be working...

Let me know if there are any bugs. Things should be FASTER - if not, do let me know!

Thanks for letting me know about that bug! I've fixed it!

Any more bugs? I'm sure I've missed something. Trying to move a whole site is a BIG endeavour, and I want to make sure everything is working.

Glad you upgraded. How did you decide to handle the funding problems?

I can't find the Who'se online thing. Am I blind or this just because I'm a techno-dinosaur?

I've also noticed that if you click on the most recent post in a forum from the main homepage, and that post is no longer the most recent post in that forum that you get taken to the new thread. perhaps my memory is faulty, but I didn't think it worked that way before. Since people are posting at a rate faster these days (where did everyone come from), this will mean that picking a most recent post in a forum will almost certainly take you to the wrong thread. I don't know, but I suspect this could be easily fixed.

Overall, I like the changes. Don't mind my nitpicking. It's what I do.

Read the announcements at the top of EVERY forum. (Doesn't anyone read my announcements anymore? At the top of EVERY forum??? )

It's a temporary time bug that will resolve itself in 7 hours.

At the top of every page under our slogan. The Who's Online page is only for staff.

Well of course I skipped the important part. reading the whole post would have been INTELLIGENT! I can get from 2 & 2 to 4, but it sometimes takes awhile (I guess I have a time bug of my own). So, whose online is only for staff now? Oh well.
