Our CC forum specific rules are no longer in effect. This announcement has been made in the new staff forums by our senior staffer.

There will be updates in the rule/faq soon, but for now please use the site wide rules as a guide.

And would CC staff please unstick all CC forum specific rules and bans.

Once the new rules are posted I believe you will have some guidelines as to what you are allowed to do with special rules.

I appreciate this especially after the recent spite report wars....
So thanks to everyone involved with this rule decision. I look forward to a forum with some semblance of peace - it was our goal all along (I think we just went around the mountain for 40 years to get there).

Was this announced to OBOB and other Congregational Fora?
Is this ALL congregations or are we being targeted?

I am happy about the LeeD announcement but how will it help the forum? Not sure I am clear on that...

LeeD announced that his OP post in Announcements would become basic 4U rules. But I did think he said he would consider whether different congregations could have additional rules. But that thread is soooo long and my eyes are way tooo tired to re-read it. Steve is saying that Jim47's OP here apparently ONLY APPLIES TO CCC - probably because we are such a pain in the backside to the whole 4U site!

The main reason I posted this was that I know we have a point system here which works towards an fsb. That will no longer be in effect as CC rules are, but we will have new rules and new ban procedures soon. I posted this a caution only so no one would get banned under rules which are no longer in place. Is that wrong?

Who directed you to post this in OUR forum? Why is this not posted in other congregational fora.

Part of LeeD's announcement protects the congregational fora. The announcement is here. The rule reads like this:

Congregational Forums wishing to remain safe havens may choose to limit debate to members of their own denomination, insist that all posts conform to their creed etc.

The only part of our rules that does not apply is the FSB rules, however, the SoF and the no debate rules still apply. ONLY members of CC are allowed to debate and post non fellowship posts in this forum.
