New rule regarding videos

Please note there is a new rule regarding the posting of videos. It reads, "Post a summary of the videos you post . An exception can be made for music videos.". Unless you are simply sharing music, please post a summary, or the gist, of the video you wish to share.

There was a really good video I posted, and it is no longer online anymore.

no videos will play; they just look like black boxes

plus who wants to spend time watching a video
when a synopsis will do fine

It is also a good idea to post/type the title of the video even though the title is on the video. I have experienced videos disappearing, title and all. Then I have no idea what the video was about.

They can't type a transcript of the whole video anyway, so just saying what it's about doesn't really help you.

People tell us the exact timestamp and duration when that's the case. I see it often and I've done it myself.

Well that's the thing I don't get. The video has a title, and the thread presenting the video has a title. You can decide from the title, or from watching a few seconds of the video whether you want to watch. It's going to take a few seconds to read a synopsis anyway.

Well, like in the Golden Eagles Forum, we have a few threads with music videos. Sometimes those videos disappear, title and all. If the poster does not type the title of the video, nobody knows what the video was. I started writing the title of the videos for that reason.

A summary won't solve the problem of informing the viewer of the location of a targeted segment.
That requires specific information for a specific segment.

That's why I had to ask if you knew what a summary is.
A summary doesn't doesn't do that.
