  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

If your thinking about aggression problems because of the breed, well that's a myth. I've only seen one in a hundred dogs that may have had what's considered genetic predisposition to aggression, but am still unconvinced. Every case I have seen of so-called "unexplained" was simply miscommunication, lack of knowledge, or lack of time on the owners part.

I started training family dogs when I was 11 and I've trained kids and their dogs in 4-H since I was 15, I have seen more cases of aggression in dogs springer spaniel size and down than I have ever seen in GSD size and up. It most of the time has to do with trust on both sides and interpretation of body language on both sides.

I could babble on about this stuff forever, instead I'll stop there, and if you want to hear more I'll wait for questions, otherwise you could be reading pages.

So anyways if this is not their first dog I wouldn't worry, just pray that God gives them the knowledge and patience to deal with both the pup and the kids.
