New Option: Limit or Expand Signatures in Posts

If you go to the User CP, Options, Thread Viewing section, there is a new option:

Limit Signature Size in PostsChoose Yes if you want large signatures to have a scrollbar, or No if you want all signatures expanded.Yes No

By default it is set to "Yes". Feel free to choose "No" which will make it just like how things were before.

NOTE: This is just a trial - I may remove this if members hate it. I for one do not really like huge signatures, and have always wanted to do this.

The idea is to provide options. You choose how you want sigs to show.

The only thing I dont like about limiting the signitures is that when i scroll down the page of posts with my little mouse wheel it stops at every signature and scrolls it until i reach the bottom of that sig, then it stops the page at the next long sig, etc... so i will be setting mine to the way it was... Great idea though, for those who don't like huge sigs

just move your mouse curser just below the box and continue - your hand's on the mouse anyhow! works for me.

but i dont like the scroll bar setup myself, so i set my options to no scrolly stuff.... i like to read peoples whole signature.

I kind of like it....because some times I feel strange when the sig pic takes up more room than my post.

Besides, it keeps everything neat and organized, anyone wants to see and is actually interested will scroll down.

that shouldn't happen unless the sig box gets the focus from the mouse.

make sure when you start scrolling you're outside the sig box.

Eh dislike it. Seems like every little thing has scrollbars now, even if it's just 5mm over whatever boundaries were set.

You can move your mouse outside the main table or whatever that makes up the post-area and you can scroll freely. I think it's a great idea, really .

I don't mind it; in fact, I agree that some posts take way too much space because of large sigs.

if you click on the middle wheel instead, it'll let you move down quickly without getting stuck in the sigs.

mmm...not sure how to describe it, but it works.

Thanks for keeping the "no" option in there.
Some posts are too large, but when I'm scrolling down a thread (with the scroll thing on my mouse) it "catches" the signature and gets annoying. So I will keep it like its been.

Sorry, didn't explain myself well enough. I meant it would automatically be set as 'no', for everybody when they join and then could be set to 'yes' at their own will... I suppose it doesn't really matter As long as they know it's possible
