Hi all,
If any of you read my post in the general Lutheran area, you will know I am a new Lutheran coming over from Catholicism. I recently asked about what version of the bible is used by Lutherans and I received some mixed answers. Some people said the LCMS uses the English Standard Version (which I have) and some said that it is ultimately up to the individual. Now since there is a shortage of LCMS congregations where I am and plan on relocating in a couple of years, I am considering going to an ELCA congregation. Now my question is what version of the Bible does the ELCA use. Is it up to the individual?
Thanks,
Joe
