I am new to this board and wanted to come over here and say HI

I have a 13 yr old daughter with Down Syndrome.

She is currently in the public school system, but I continue to be completely disillusioned with their idea of her future that I will be removing her at the end of this school year to homeschool. I may not do any better than what they are doing, but at least I won't be doing any worse and those people who are not doing their job correctly won't continue to receive money to "train" my daughter.

I would love to be able to help out with questions when I can.

Welcome to CF and to the Parents of Special Needs forum!

I have a 10 year old autistic son and I just removed him from the public school system last month. I just couldn't believe what was all going on! As a parent, I believe he's getting better treatment from me than he did at school.
