New Dr. Who Series

So, the new Dr. Who series kicked off this evening with a new doctor and companion, what are your thoughts?

If I'm brutally honest, for a first episode to a new series with a new cast, it was a bit dull and did drag a bit....

However, it does look like it will liven up a bit and there appear to be some big name cast in the up coming series.....

It starts this evening (UK time)?! I didn't realize that. Obviously I haven't seen it, so thanks for not adding spoilers.

I've been watching Doctor Who for the past couple of years and have seen all of the (newer Doctor Who) episodes. I don't love getting used to a new Doctor, so I'm sure I won't be thrilled with the newest episode anyway.

Was going to suggest iPlayer, as it's now up on there, but not sure it will work in USA....

I was actually thinking about this recently...I don't like how they rotate the Doctor and the companion. Once you get used to one, then they just switch it all on you, not to mention shoddy writing at times that you have to deal with.

I'm just really turned off by that show.

I've just recently started watching the series but I'm not quite caught up. It took me a while to get used to the first new doctor so we'll see how I like it when it changes again.

Sounds cool. I'm a Doctor Who fan from back in the day, when I used to watch the reruns on PBS. Hearing that there's a new Doctor, part of me wishes that I still watched TV.

Watched it.. wasn't too keen on the camera zooming around >_> hope it doesn't carry on otherwise I may start to find it really off putting.

Overall, not a bad start the new girl looks to be a far better pick than Catherine Tate (and oh how I loathe Catherine Tate) As to the new doctor, he seems alright so far especially having such a hard act to follow after David Tennant.

Looking like it should be a good season though.
