Members of CCC, this is a new day. We have come through a stormy night and emerged, we hope, the stronger expectations and faith, determined to have this forum afloat and a good meeting ground for all Conservative Christians.
Whilst recent changes are somewhat dramatic, there is nothing that we have not experienced before although there are some ramifications for this forum which have been deemed necessary.
Therefore, it seems appropriate now to outline some of the more crucial points for you all and to put in place some ground rules for the future for immediate implementation
This forum will now be under a 2 weeks probation during which time there will be no discussion or hint of discussion of
---- the Chief Executive Officer (LeeD)
---- any member FORU.MS staff
---- the site policy in general, either for this form, the Congregational Area or FORU.MS in general
---- any other forum/subforum on FORU.MS or policy applicable thereto
---- any staff action including this announcement
---- violations of these ground rules will be reported and dealt with according to the new site rules
During this period, there will be one or two extra staff members especially drafted in from other teams. Data will also be collected in the number and nature of reports being made. At the end of the two weeks, the senior staff will then take feed back from the moderation team to assess the situation and see if improvements have been made.
If this proves to be so, all well and good. If not, then consideration will be given to the future of the forum.
It is to be hoped that all realise how serious this situation has been and that every one of you will make earnest effort, in Christ, to create a harmonious and encouraging environment both for your members, your guests and for those who come seeking. You will have our prayers and those of the senior staff here and many others. We do not want to see this forum fail. It has been noted that there are many excellent educational and edifying threads in here. Build on that and show us how a new forum can grow in Christ and in Christian love.
