New Dawn
Isaiah 43:16,18-19... This is what the Lord says, "Forget the former things; do not dwell on the past. See, I am doing a new thing! Now it springs up; do you not perceive it? I am making a way in the desert and streams in the wasteland."
The year is gone, finished, past. We cannot reclaim it or undo it. We cannot dwell on the things it has brought us. Tomorrow dawns, it will be another day, a new opportunity, a new time to show our faith in Jesus as Lord. Let's move forward in confidence, knowing that God already inhabits the future and promises to provide us refreshment.
Revelation 21:5... Behold, I make all things new!
Psalm 51:10-12... Create in me a pure heart, O God, and renew a steadfast spirit within me. Do not cast me from your presence or take your Holy Spirit from me. Restore to me the joy of your salvation and grant me a willing spirit, to sustain me.
Lord, thank You that You are the one who makes all things new. We lift our hearts to You, purify each heart, O Lord, renew a steadfast spirit within each. Sustain each of us with willing spirits. Thank You that as each of us yeilds their hearts to You, Your joy will spring up. Let this joy, the joy of Your salvation shine forth thru each of us and draw others to a saving knowledge of the Lord Jesus Christ.
