  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

How is it that His people are not of the world? 2 Corinthians 5:17 says,
"Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new." That is how we are not of the world. We are new creatures. We are created unto godliness and righteousness. Now we are a new man, yet the old man of sin still tags along, and we have to live with that till the day we die. Yet, there has been a renewal of attitude, a renewal of
our heart’s desire, to serve the Lord.

This new man has nothing in this world. When we have temptations, or flashes of something that tempts us or allures us, it is that old man that is still alive and well. The testimony of David and those who have gone before is revealed in Psalm 39:12, "Hear my prayer, O LORD, and give ear unto my cry; hold not thy peace at my tears: for I am a stranger with thee, and a sojourner, as all my fathers were." We have no abiding place here. This is not the place of our rest. We do not try to build ourselves a permanent place in this world.

Sometimes we wonder when we have things that do not prosper any more. The Lord is taking our hearts away from the things of this life, He will not give us any more the things that would satisfy the old man. We will learn to pull up stakes. We are just sojourners. We are getting ready to move on. The Lord removes those
things that would hinder us from moving on.
