New Battlestar Galactica Questions

I was a big fan of the original BSG, back when it originally ran when I was under 10, and after watching the online episode, plus last week's episode, I am so far enjoying the new one.

Just a couple of questions that a late comer (ie. missed the miniseries and several episodes) has:

1. Why does everyone think Boomer is a cylon? Judging by the latest episode, plus what is happening on Caprica, that doesn't seem too far off the mark.

2. How did Number Six get inside Baltar's head?

3. In the original series Baltar was a complete traitor who joined the cylons. The new Baltar seems more complicated, is he on the human's side with Number Six in his head, or is he a more undercover traitor?

1. Everyone thinks Boomer is a Cylon because at the end of the miniseries they show several of the 'human' Cylons getting together and one of them is Boomer. Plus, she stole a bunch of explosives from a weapons locker and then someone used those same explosives to blow up Galactica water storage tanks, and THEN she tried to sabotage their mission to find more water, and to top it all off, Baltars Cylon detector test showed that she was indeed a Cylon (he was too chicken to rat her out though). In one episode though, #6 mentioned some of the Cylon infiltrators may not know they are Cylons, sort of like 'sleeper agents' and that seems to be the case with the Boomer on Galactica.

2.#6 claims the Cylons put a chip in his head and thats how she got there. How true that is is anyones guess. I think that she's telling the truth, but this version of #6 has its own agenda different from the rest of the Cylons. I suspect she is more interested in 'converting' humanity than destroying it.

3. Baltar......that guy is on his own side. He does whats best for him, and since that means keeping the #6 in his head happy, its usually means bad things for the humans. He's just a guy totally devoted to his own survival, and I have no doubt he'd sellout everyone on galactica and the fleet out to save his own skin......but he'd do the same to the Cylons if he had to.

No problem. From what I hear, the next few episodes are supposed to be really great stuff, so your tuning in at the right time
