Never doubt the "testimony of Jesus" as it is sure.

When John heard what was being given him, he recognized its source and identified it. He also understood that it was opening up what was to occur and giving him what was to happen in prophetic terms in the future and end times as Christ had done when He was with the disciples on earth. So when he said the the testimony of Jesus was the Spririt of Prophecy, John meant it literally as he knew it was Jesus giving him insight and telling him what was to come.

Ellen White was just giving us what Christ had told the disciples, John, and now was giving her, thus it was the 'testimony of Jesus' or the 'Spirit of Prophecy', but we have misplied it to her. She always insisted that she was just the messenger and what she was given was the 'testimonies' or the 'testimony of Jesus' which is the 'spirit of prophecy' as Christ wanted us to know and be prepared for the end times and His second coming...

It is another spirit. Doubt and unbelief are cherished by those who do not walk circumspectly. Yes RED--many of us have known this all along. This is why we fight so hard against thos who condemn the testimonies.

Do you fight against those who changed her writings so that they can be more biblically sound?

First, one should see actual evidence. Secondly, implicit in your question is that she was verbally inspired and so her writings shouldn't have been changed.

I feel that Ellen White was given insight/inspiration much like John was, and it was the same as when Christ was talking to the disciples telling them what was to come, but now since Christ was in heaven it was in a different form and with visions but John still knew it was Christ giving him the prophecy.

I feel the end time prophecy is not revealed openly as Satan could use it in setting up his snares and strategy, so it is given and revealed accordingly and Ellen White was one whom was chosen to hear and see it but still had to write it down so thus the human element...
