Thats not only what was distracting me. If youve been paying attention, perhaps youd know what Im going through.

Marissa was stunned by his words. At first, she wanted to turn her back on him, to reject what hed said. But then she realized that he was right.
The only time you pray is when there is something troubling you. You dont acknowledge me for weeks, but daily show your love for your friends and friends alone. You make poor choices, ignoring me when I try to lead you in the right direction. When you use my name it is followed by a coarse word, as if Im merely a tool to vent your anger.
Well, what do you expect? Marissa protested. Im sorry, but sometimes youre just plain boring. Why should I pay attention in church? I mean, none of my friends, who ARE Christian by the way, do anything spiritual, and I dont see you ruining their lives!
I have called you to be different. Your purpose is greater than theirs; you are meant to be more then just a lukewarm Christian.

Together, she and God stared at the sun as it sunk into the horizon. For the first time in months, all was well between them. In less then twenty minutes, Marissas life had changed for the better. From now on she would strive to keep her focus on him; never to betray him or push him to the back of her mind. She had finally found the true love and guidance that she craved, and God got to see his beloved's smile again.
