  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

I have been nesting BIG time the last week, especially today. I'm 34 weeks along. I'm so "out there" that no one thinks I'm going to make it, but I have a feeling he'll be pretty on time. Today, I rearranged furniture, tidied, cleaned, got out the hospital bag, baby clothes, diapers, etc! And when hubby gets home, I'm going to make him put up trim in our room, lol. I'm also going to go out shopping to get more things that we need, like I need nursing bras, socks, etc.
I have been having so many bh contractions. How many do you guys get? I get them like once an hour. I know I don't have to worry unless its like 4 times an hour.
Can't wait to meet this little one. Phew! I forgot how nutty things can get at the end! I am not looking forward to labour and delivery either. I had two with epidurals and one without, and even though the one without went smoother, I am so afriad of that pain again!

Oh my goodness, I totally understand! The nesting frenzy just hit me last week. I had this dream that I was holding a newborn and nothing was ready! That's all I needed to throw me in nesting mode! This weekend I cleaned my apartment and cleaned out both closets, threw out a ton of stuff etc etc. It feels good to be taking steps to make sure that nightmare doesn't become reality.

My mom is nesting for me! :p

She came over and started cleaning out my pantry and organizing baby stuff last saturday. :p She made me wash my dishes!

She is so funny. She said she is going to come over and help me clean and get organized for this baby, so I am very grateful!

 Well, now that my inlaws bought Remi a bassinet to sleep in I'm nesting. :) Last night I washed diapers, wash cloths, hooded towels, and all of his whites. Tonight I'll wash his coloreds and get those all ready for when he gets here. :)

I'd be nesting if i wasn't so tired and restless lol

We are in the process of clearing out our spare room. Once that is done then i know that i will nest - at the moment even if i did wash the diapers etc i have no-where to store them so there's no point.

Wow! You girls sound so organized! I was kind of on a nesting frenzy today cleaning my bathroom, and then the power went out for a few hours and now the feeling has passed. :(

Maybe when you get a few weeks closer, you'll have a "I'm not ready!" dream that will kick you into high gear. That's what did it for me;) Either way, dont' worry. I think as you get closer, your pregnancy nature will do what it's supposed to do and you'll join the "frenzy."

I started nesting over the weekend. Only problem was that it left me feeling tired and achy,. i think i did a little too much !!!!

It's all come to a stand still now though as we have to move the sofa-bed over to my parents and we can't do that until we have a free saturday which won't be for a few weeks. until that has gone we can't really sort anything else out in the spare room.

Plus i'm also waiting to finish work - once i've finished work i'll be washing and drying the diapers etc

I know what you mean. I carried some stuff up the stairs today and felt yucky after.
We have the crib up, bags almost packed, and I even bought myhubby and kids a gift from the baby. Can't wait to meet this guy. I am SOOOOO excited!
I'm also a little worried that I am overcommitted this summer with work. I'm a photographer for 4 sports leagues and I'm also running a huge garage sale for a missionary at church. These things are all around my due date. What have I done? Ahh! I'm enjoying it but its stress. I just want to nest and dream! My due date is 3 and half weeks away!
chillybean - appreciating any prayers sent my way
