tonight my friends where trying to convince me that girls never get nervous around guys.. becuase "girls are in charge, therefore they dont feel nervous"

how am i supposed to respond to such false logic?

and my friend says i better listen to him becuase he is mr. "ladies man".. and hes had 4 girlfriends.. wow WHOOPTY DOO four girlfriends

haha hugh hefner has had many girlfriends too.. but i wouldnt take his advice when it comes to females.. becuase his advice is to "pinch their rear end when they walk by"

I couldn't have said it better. And whoever told you that ladies are not nervous on dates is full of it. We just seem to do a better job of hiding it while on the date. Oh, but you should see us BEFORE the date, especially if it is a first date. Primping in front of the mirror scrutinizing every inperfection, practicing even saying hello in front of the mirror, and wondering if she's going to get kissed and how he'd kiss and does she even want him to kiss her? Believe me, we're basket cases! And I wouldn't take any advice from a so-called ladies man. If he is so good with the ladies, then why has he had 4 girlfriends? You'd think that he'd just have one and be able to keep her because he treats her right. Just a thought.

lol this made me laugh. Your friend has issues. Good luck to him and his four girlfriends. He doesn't know much about girls and I can make an educated guess that his relationship with these girls isn't exactly unphysical.

You can't respond or debate with him on this matter. He sounds like he's not going to budge on his opinion. Don't worry, in a few year's time, he'll come to you wanting 'girl help'.

Girls' aren't always in charge. Yes, we get nervous. In fact, we get really nervous around guys we actually like, so perhaps your friend hasn't had that experience with any of his girlfriends yet....

Wow, your friend sounds like quite the interesting fellow. And doesn't know how to properly treat a girl if he's giving you such advice. You're on the right track however, in taking your friend's advice as false. Girls are quite nervous around other guys, whether we seem like it or not. We may be excellent at looking confident in front of you, but we are just as nervous when around someone of the opposite sex. Guys who were interested in me were always shocked when I admitted to being nervous. I leave those around me under the impression of being confident but I still have my own jitters.

Next time say to him, 'yeah, that is 4 failures as well'.

I would go out on a limb and to say due to a reoccurance which tends to make a girl's personality more volatile (to put it nicely), I would say that they are more use to dealing with strong emotions...

Last week I went to pennsylvania to visit a good friend that I have there.

My dad said that when I was carrying our suitcases in she was standing there staring at me, and not saying anything. (Keep in mind I haven't seen her for 3 years)

She didn't even really say anything to me until that night.

I believe that classifies as nervousness.

Oh my goodness, do we ever get nervous! You know, that butterflies in the stomach thing, and literally shaking with nerves...I thought that we actually get more nervous than guys do. And I don't think that girls are the ones in control, because if you're of the same conserative viewpoint as me, girls are to be the ones that wait, while it is up to the guy to do the pursuing. Makes me feel kind of helpless sometimes

This kind of ignorant comment is exactly what makes Americans annoying to the rest of the world. They (and I'm generalizing, this is definitely not every American) think that just because something is popular in the west, that it must be popular everywhere. So often, they have such a self-centred view of the world.

Please stop this saying this garbage (directed at many people), you're making the ex-pats from your own country look bad.
