  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

I have to go Monday to my high risk specialists. They are going to go ahead and get a cerclage for added protection this time.

They are going to put it in at 13 weeks. It is an outpatient procedure but requires bed rest and a increased risk of infection. This also means pelvic rest and unexplained bleeding....as if I wasn't worried about bleeding enough.

I am ready to have this done, I know that if I do have an incompetent cervix it will help keep the baby in place.

I'm 12 weeks today, I found out on March 9th my new due date is Sept. 26th., and both of my ultrasounds have been good, the baby is measuring right, and the heartbeat is strong. I got to hear it Monday and Wednesday with my home nurse.

I'm just really nervous. It is coming up on the time that if I do have IC, my cervix will start effacing and shortening and funneling to the stitch. The stitch has a 80% success rate, I am just so nervous.
