Need Your Prayers, Please.

Hi gang!!
I know this is not the prayer request forum but I am starting to feel close to you guys and would like to ask you to be praying for me and my wife. She goes into the hospital the 15th of May for some testing. She has seizures and they are going to take her off her meds to cause her to sieze. They want to see which side of the brain they are coming from to see if she might be eligable for surgery. I am scared to death, I have never witnessed her siezing and am worried something might happen to her. I am trying to be strong for her and not fall apart on her. I don't deal well with stress and am afraid this may trigger and episode with my BP....so please keep us in your prayers....Thank You and God Bless EVERYONE!!!

I am so glad you psted your request here as well, for we truly do understand that stress is such a trigger and I will pray for you.
I know your fears, remind yourslef that God is not the author of fear, that God is your rock and fortress, your strong tower in time of need, this will help during this time, let God do battle withyour fears for you.
Also know as an ex-rn that your wife should be safe during this time. Witnessing a seizure of someone you love can be very frightening, but remind yourself if you are there to holler for the nurses, that it will end, and that actually this is good because they want this to happen in this protected setting so they can see if they can help her with this surgery.
The medical people are very skilled at this. I have rarely seen injuries beyond a bruise or two. Once and awhile a bitten tongue. So take a deep breath, pray, know that emotions such as you aare experiencing are normal and accept them as that and know that we are praying with you!!!

My prayers are with you and your wife. I understand how scary this can be. My nephew is going to be admitted to the hospital the week after your wife to under go the same process.

Good morning, Rushingwind, So sorry to learn of your wife's problems. God will give you strength to be strong for your wife. Don't depend on your strength, God knows your doubts at this time and That is why He is telling you to gather in your prayer warriors and lean on Him.

The stronger you are the stronger your wife will be. She needs to know you will be able to handle this and that will help her to be stronger and more calm. Do not be concerned about your BP, You will be fine, if you put your total trust in God and know that He is in complete control. These are thing you have to keep telling yourself over and over and over, take your mind off yourself, comfort your wife and refuse to belive anything but the best. You let go and Let God................. LET US PRAY..........


Father, I come before you and ask for strength, to be able to stand strong for my wife.

Father, I pray that you will hold my wife in your loving arms as the doctors are performing

this procedure on her. Lord, I don't understand what is happening but I know You do. Lord,

I ask You to keep her safe and I pray the doctors will be able to learn what is causing her to

have this problem and with Your help they will be able to determine the reasons and will be

able to bring restoration and healing to her and she will be healed. Lord, I ask that you let

my weakness become Your strenth and I will have the power to over overcome any weakness

that Would prevent me from being a strong husband for her to draw strength from. Lord let

her see in me a strength she has never seen before and be so encouraged in my strength

that she will be comforted and a calmness will fill her so that she can relax and have total

comfort in knowing I will be fine. Lord she needs to have all the confidence and support at

this time in her life and not be worrying about me. Lord, from the depths of my being, I

pray that your will be done. In Jesus' name, I pray. amen

Thank you everyone for supporting my husband and for the care and support you have shown to the both of us...

He has never seen a full blown seizure of mine and so I am very scared as well that this may be truthfully hard for him to handle .... Also I take a medication that not only covers my seizures it also covers my Bi-Polar which they are going to take me off of as well during this test.

I think that he is scared not only that I will have seizures but for the first time he shall see me uncontrolled as far as my Bi-Polar is concerned, which is a concern for another Bi-Polar.... As we can trigger reactions in one another. I have had mine diagnosed and controlled far longer than he has....

He did not know if I wanted my identity revealed, until I told him it was ok because I have from time to time posted in this section and I do not keep secret the fact I am a Bi-Polar.

I just wanted to thank you all.... Your prayers and support are needed and appreciated ....

May He quide the physicians to know which side of your brain is affected and do it quickly, and without any ill effects to you.

Hi gang!! All is going well with Debi. They have adjusted her meds to half level and will probably make more adustments today. She has not started seizing as of yet but tonight and tommorow may be rough....I will be spending most oif my time with her at the hospital but will try to update you when I am home....Thanks for all the prayers and God Bless EVERYONE!!!....Rush

hi you all I am in desperate need for prayers right now. My best friend who promised to marry me in front of two ministers online has not even come to see me and son since he moved here from overseas. My heart is so shattered and I am so drained and he will not even listen to me but makes jokes or belittles me online in front of others instead of speaking to me about it directly. I see now he does not love me and I am going to have to heal from the pain. Just please keep me in your prayers and him. thanks angelrider

Debi is doing good, although she is tired. So far she has not had any seizures and is off almost all her meds. The Dr said if she doesn't have any seizures bu the time she leaves he will eliminate some of her meds because he thinks she is over medicated for seizure disorder. The partials she thought were happening are evidently related to her anxiety disorder. So we'll follow up with a psychatrist once she gets a couple days rest.
