CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

I really like this song.
Seriously. It's just so...likable.
But, if she or anyone really wants that rest and peace she sings about asking for....
...they only have to do what Christ clearly said is required for His peace to come on us --
28 “Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. 29 Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. 30 For my yoke is easy and my burden is light.”
No amount of singing, praying, will remove or erase what He said -- this is the way He told us to obtain His peace.
But....it's still a very easy song to like! This happens pretty often in Christian music: a song we like, well done, and at the same time we want to tell the person: here's what He said for that. If people would only listen to Him!

The song finds Plumb recalling God's help during times when life has got on top of her. "'Need You Now' was born out of anxiety and panic attacks I had as a teenager," she explained. "I've learned over the years that no matter how many times I've cried out to God, for whatever reason, He never grows tired. He never leaves us alone or gives us more than we can carry because he loves us. No matter what we've done. I' m so thankful this song that has helped me, can give hope to others as well."
