Need technical help

Could somebody please help out a computer illiterate with a couple things here?
First of all, how do you give reputation?
Secondly, how does the blessing thing work?
Thirdly, where do you get those little people at the top left of your posts?

Forgive my ignorance, but this place is just too complicated for this non-technical, behind-the-times lady.

We all had the same 'ignorance' when we arrived here so dont feel badly! Read the FAQ from the top border for much info.
To give reputation click on the hand with thumb raised in upper left of everyones post, though some have disabled theirs, choosing not to be involved with such. This grows over time and is shown on your control panel as to who gave you reps and their comments.
You can give blessings several ways, including clicking on the red heart/cross at upper left post and filling in the dropdown.
You build your character and dress her by clicking on the 'CF Character' at the top of the page and then 'purchasing' the character parts and items with blessings. All is much fun!

I think the person I had wanted to give reputation to must have disabled their thingie, because I hovered over each symbol and didn't see anything that said "reputation." Didn't know which symbol it would have been at the time though.
