Need prayer for a spiritual problem

Hi everyone, I would greatly appreciate your prayers- I have a severe spiritual problem. I do not ever sense the leading of God to do anything, nothing at all, not ever, it has never happened even once. I just have to guess what God leads me to do, if I ever were to ask God what He wants me to do I would never receive an answer, it has been like this since I got saved. I have no idea why this is happening, please pray that I start sensing the leading of God! Thank you!

It works the other way. The only time He does not lead us is when we " quench " His Holy Spirit. As believers , He makes His Home in us.

Praying for you. I don't think this is an uncommon situation. Perhaps He is leading you, but in such a way that you don't recognize His hand in it. For me it is always very subtle.

have you sought to be filled with the Holy spirit, is the meaning of life for me to have him like that. Maybe you could try some 'spirit filled' church, that seeks that, and does deliverance. It so important to be where God presence is, can change your life by just being in contact with his Presence.

Well God is testing your faith, if you believe you will never recieve an answer, it wont happen, jesus said to keep faith and what you ask the Father in his nsme, you shall be heard, be patient and believe

Consider this Scripture...

Psalm 37:4
Delight yourself in the Lord; And He will give you the desires of your heart.

There is a double meaning.

He fulfils your desires.

He plants desires within you.

Yes some are guided by His Voice - even audibly, but the majority of guidance comes from being inspired to do the right thing at a heart level.

1. Acts 15:22
   Then it seemed good to the apostles and the elders, with the whole church, to choose men from among them to send to Antioch with Paul and Barnabas—Judas called Barsabbas, and Silas, leading men among the brethren,
   
   
2. Acts 15:25
   it seemed good to us, having become of one mind, to select men to send to you with our beloved Barnabas and Paul,
   
   
3. Acts 15:28
   “For it seemed good to the Holy Spirit and to us to lay upon you no greater burden than these essentials:
   
   
4. Acts 15:34
   [But it seemed good to Silas to remain there.]

Those who advocate "bible only" guidance deny His Living Voice inside nudging us one way or another.

However this obedience to His internal prompting is essential for being obedient and requires full surrender to Him.

Now folks are often afraid of this because they are believing that to give all control to Him will result in chaos.

This wont happen for two reasons

- He is a God of Order and obeying Him will make your life better not worse.

- He loves you and will not allow you to take a wrong track that can't be turned around for Good.

However always apply this test for important life decisions...

Peace inside.
Confirmation from mature folk you are in fellowship with.
No conflict with what Scripture teaches.
Circumstances will align as you proceed.
Able to be openly discussed.
