  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Ok I need ALOT of help here! I am just getting out of a relationship where the girl and I fell in love very quick. She already had a son that I accepted as mine. Now we were both not Christians when the relationship started. Well over of about a year the relationship got bad. We both went our way and turned to God. Now we are both Christians and she HATES me! I mean has HATES me!!!! I ask why and she says she doesn't even know! I hate this because I know she is good. I also know that I'm a better person now that I have accepted Jesus into my life. I'm not asking for her back or anything but just for her to get the hate out of her heart for me. When I ask her this she just gets more angry and mocks me as I'm all "Perfect." Well I just hate this feeling. Should I just not speak to her ever again and pray to God that he will take the pain out of her heart for me or what? THANK YOU for any advice!

Awww Soldier4Him, I will be praying for your situation. and that's about all I can do. I would suggest that you just keep on praying about it yourself. It sounds like you have tried to work the problem out, but she is unwilling. she might just want to throw her past behind her and not have to look back at it. We sometimes as humans displace our anger, we see something in our past we don't like and try to blame whoever was closest to us at the time. It could be that she just wants to be left alone, If that's it then that's the best thing for you to do I guess. Just pray that God will put in her heart to forgive you. since you've already tried to talk to her about it, there's not much more you can do except pray, and rest assured God wants her to forgive you as much, if not more than you do.

Sometimes these things take time. Sometimes these things take a LOT of time. The entire message in the Bible is one of reconciliation. Our reconciliation to God, and to each other. So it is very natural that you are in pain over her attitude toward you. You must give the whole matter to God, and pray that one day her eyes will be opened to God's will about this. You kind of have to "back away" and let God grow up her spirit. As for "not speaking to her ever again"--well, that's not the way to look at it. You have to give her some space. If she is a Christian, then she will forgive you in time.

btw, I understand the pain you are in, as I have been thru a similar thing with my brother. It is very painful, but all you can really do is give it to God and pray for her every day. "Let Go and Let God"

Bless you both! Your words have already made me stronger. I'm going to be praying that God grants her peace and that he allows me to have peace in my heart. I guess the only other thing that REALLY hurts and that I WANTED to be her son's dad. I didn't want him to have another man disappear. Just hurts me to think what he may thing of "dads" now

Soldier, that is heart breaking and I cry wih you.

What I have learned is that one of the reasons sin is so bad is because it hurts us all so much. If God says something is a sin, he is trying to protect us from the hurt it will bring into our lives. The best we can do is to learn from our mistakes and go on with our lives. As hard as it is, you must pray that God will give that little boy a good daddy. That will be a prayer that God will surely bless, because it will be a prayer of selfless love for a child. I am so sorry for your pain soldier. I pray that God will heal your broken heart and one day bless you with many sons and daughters, and a Godly wife that will be your life long sweetheart.

It is truely sad when children have to go through these types of things. my heart goes out to you.

I see here a couple things to be thankful for.
and one is that two souls have started seeking God,
or have returned to him. How the angels in heaven must
be rejoicing about the return of both lost souls.

The other is, Let us pray that this child learns that
he has but one true Father who is in heaven. And this
Father will never ever leave him.

Amen to that! My earthly dad was rarely available to me, and so I prayed that God would be my early Father, as He is a Father to the fatherless. I can't tell you how much that healed my spirit!

Soldier4him it's truely wonderful to see a smile in your post after reading your second post I went and prayed because I had no answer or words I could give you, that
would be of any comfort. Then God showed me that even though things looked bleak there was still something here to be thankful for. So it was Gods spirit that guided my words along with Auntie Bells I believe.
So to God be all the Glory and thanks!
His power never ceases to amaze me.
And he has brought answers to all our prayers indeed!

If she is in pain, it is either from a root of bitterness or unforgiveness. She needs a touch from God and she needs to get right with Him. This is not so much between you and her, as it is between her and God. He needs to put His lover in her heart. We are not to hate people, at least not saved people. God will give us His love for them.

She will need to have a healthy brother sister relationship with you, in order to get into Heaven. If there is one person in heaven that we do not get along with, then we do not get in.

Jesus died not only to restore fellowship between us and the father, He died so that a right relationship could be restored between us.

When you nail the old disfunctional relationship to the cross, then the new one can emerge.
