Need a character name

Okay, so, in my latest screenplay, my main character is a guy named Glenn. I think the name fits him, but I don't know if it's the most interesting name for a character in a movie. He's kind of an introverted everyman, the character who the audience is meant to identify with.

Any suggestions for a better name? Something that fits an average joe.

I think Glenn is fine. It's simple and unpretentious, suitable for a normal, introverted person. People will identify with a character better if the name is like that rather than anything too fancy. Of course you have the other 'average joe' names like Ben, Sam, Matt...that sort of thing. Without knowing anything about the character or screenplay, I'd say Glenn is fine.

Thank you, I pretty much agree. That name just popped into my head when I started thinking about the character, and I'm learning to trust ideas that just pop up like that. Besides, names can always be changed.

Why would an introverted everyman need an interesting name? If his name was Sebastian Alkodale, it kinda stops him from being an everyman. Everymen need to be average and unremarkable.
