  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

I don't know if this is a good place to ask but because I'm anal about accuracy or being close to and this is for my book:

The years dated Before Christ (BC) goes down, correct? As well as AD? Where would I go to find accurate or close to accurate dates of OT timeline or just a good world-timeline from the beginning of the Earth to current day? Wikipedia is kinda useless in my opinion.

Also, does anyone know which countries existed during the BC years? I know China did, obvious Israel, Persia (present day Iraq), and I believe Mesopotamia. Or have any site suggestions?

Gosh I feel like a failure as someone who adores history but I haven't really gotten around to actual world history, mostly European (Northern Europe and Eastern Europe, and mostly early 1900's to present day) and American (North and South America).

Thanks much.

Been ages since I have looked into the time lines. But there are numerous time lines. Not sure where you would look. Maybe try the theology, doctrine section of this forum, people there are normally into this sort of stuff.
