I can make that claim, the Bible does, God does ... just many others have a problem with that because they have been indoctrinated with flawed dating methods and accept them. So it obviously bumps up against your 4.5 billion year earth.

Only people who read the Bible too literally think it was really 6 days.

Why is it so hard for people to understand the word day does not necessarily mean 23 hours and 56 minutes in Genesis 1? All you have to do is look at the ages of fossils, rocks, and other natural things that God made before Adam by clicking on some Internet links and see many of them are millions of years apart. Or you can go to natural history museums that have perfect replicas of animals with real fossils.

Like Revelation? You take that as 100% literal?

Even the parables that Jesus spoke of? They werent meant to be taken literally. They were stories with meaning to them.

No human prints have ever been found with Dino prints. It was fake / unproven. No human bones etc have been found in the same deposit layer as dinos. Only photoshopped ones

According to my geology teacher in high school, the Grand Canyon used to be 5 times deeper. So God spent a long time eroding the area, then a long time making the land again. A very long time, that is.

Some people believe that the human like foot prints were from angels that were assigned to take care of the dinosaurs.
Interesting... People believe that angels made foot prints but they could not possibly be human.

Can you explain why the fact that God was able to do all that in six literal days He actually did? That is no more logical than calling yourself a woman. Sure, He could have, but there is no reason to assume that is a guarantee He did it.
What are you trying to say?

Well there are many people who would disagree with you here. Lots of "weird" unexplained things that "weren't suppose to be" have been found. And if you have made up your mind that it is all fake; nothing anyone tells you would convince you otherwise.

This then boils down to individual world views and what one chooses to believe.

According to your Geology teacher... OK sure.. throw out the bible because of something your geology teacher said.

My teacher told me that humming birds never stand on their feet. After they start flying they never stop.
Another teacher told me that water contracts until 4 degrees centigrade then starts to expand again.
Another teacher told me that natives never had beards because they never shaved in the first place. Soon as they started to shave.... they grew beards...

I think I will trust God over any man or woman.

Do not read the Bible literally. I have said that enough. If you still do not understand, that is entirely your problem.
Oh... IC... should I take it literal when it says that Jesus walked on water. Or turned water to wine.. or cured a leper, or a blind man?

I guess these things are taken literal due to the fact that our salvation depends on all the supernatural events of Jesus life... BUT, not Genesis. because our salvation does not depend on the six literal days.

I bet most people would write off the miracles of Christ if their salvation did not depend on it.

I bet most people would take Genesis literal if the Bible stated "believe on the Name of the Lord Jesus Christ and the six days of Creation... and you will be saved".

What else do we deny, of the scriptures, because mankind cannot fathom the truth of it?

This ties in with the Nephilim where they think the Son's of God were angles that produced offspring with the sons of man.

I tend to think the Son's of God were the Godly line of Seth and the sons of man were the ungodly line of Cain. But the angles interpretation is popular and widely accepted.

No, it was for the people it was written to and none of the Bible was written to us
All of the Bible was written to us. Every stroke of the pen. The Bible is made new and fresh for each and every generation. Even today there are things we can do to help future generations. There is talk about how we stand on the shoulders of giants.

In Bible school they teach us how to interpret the Bible. First you look at who the Bible was first written to. Then you look at how the Bible applies to us today. The Bible has a lot of deep meaning. The Hebrew people talk about paradigms and archetypes. Some things are universal and they are not effected by time. Walt Disney use to talk about this when he said: "“Laughter is timeless. Imagination has no age. And dreams are forever.” Also we have to understand the work that God did with Israel He is now doing with the gentiles and the church or the Bride of Christ. A lot of the teachings in Leviticus apply to us today even though there were clearly written for the Levi priesthood in the temple. Peter talks about this when he says: "But you are a chosen people, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, God's special possession, that you may declare the praises of him who called you out of darkness into his wonderful light." 1Peter 1:9

Gradualism is a valid theory. So is catastrophic theory. They see a lot of catastrophic events in California and if they do not understand the power of these forces then a lot of people are at risk.

Everything in the Bible has a literal meaning. The wine at the wedding was new wine and this is different from old wine. Jesus said to put new wine in a new wine skin. Jesus cured all of the lepers. The ones that came back to show their appreciation were restored as well as cured.
