NDE and God...are they actually Biblical?

Hey guys! I have been struggling a lot with my Christian walk lately and could really use some Biblical insight. I've honestly been saved my whole life, in fact there wasn't really a time where I don't remember following Jesus. Growing up I actually had OCD and would struggle with assurance of salvation. Thank goodness God brought me through that trial and I grew in my spiritual walk with Him. Today my question though has to deal with NDEs or near death experiences. Just recently I had an experience where I actually almost died, God spared my life and I am very thankful for that but I don't even recall seeing anything like Jesus, or a white light or anything. So many people report that and it's scary because I really don't think a lot of those are true. For example, the ones about nonbelievers seeing Heaven and getting saved...idk, I truly believe only believers can enter Heaven. Basically I have been having doubts because if I'm a believer and didn't "see God" in a NDE does that mean I wouldn't be saved?...I know we can never lose our salvation and I've been praying about these doubts but it's literally like satan won't stop all these negative thoughts! I probably sound crazy but if anyone could give me some verses or comment I would really really appreciate it

Hi Maggie.
Don't worry yourself about it. Every time I read of a NDE, I take it with a grain of salt. Maybe its true, maybe its not. (shrug) If these NDEs are true, should everyone experience one? Prolly not. After all of your Christian life you have learned to trust God in all things. Don't let this be an exception.
Luv ya!

Thanks! Sometimes it really helps just to hear from another Christian

Oh! I though you were asking if God was Biblical. I had no idea what NDE was supposed to be so I came and looked. Near Death Experience... well... we hear about them from time to time but I don't hinge my faith on them.

Think of it this way... Jesus answered Peter's request about what would happen to John by answering, "What's that got to with you? Just follow me."

It didn't happen to me so it doesn't bother me. Each to his own experience.

Yea, you bring up a good point! I guess the fact is that God takes us when the spirit officially leaves the body, and whether clinical death or not, everything happens in His timing. I guess some things are just out of our understanding and that's okay.
