NBC Cancels Heroes

Not too surprising, since Heroes set such a high bar in Season 1 that it just couldn't seem to get back to, but I'm still totally bummed. It would have been nice to have an ending to Season 4 that wrapped things up a bit. Now pretty much everything is left up to the imagination.

Anyone have any good memories of Heroes that they'd like to share? Thoughts on how the show should have ended?

Heroes is in my top 3 shows of all time, behind Lost and 24. Season 1 of Heroes was incredible, the writers did a great job of connecting all the characters in a usually believable way, yet they made them all unique. Sylar is by far my favorite villain of all time. He was such a complex character, and he really helped carry the show when some of the writing got stale in the middle seasons.

In other news, V was renewed for a 2nd season on ABC and FlashForward, also on ABC, was canceled

I got bored of Heroes after it became "The Sylar Show".

I felt that the writers dumbed down most of the characters so much that Sylar was the most interesting character left, but I get why people were getting annoyed with the show becoming Sylar-centric. That and Sylar going back and forth between evil and redemption so much, although I liked that aspect of the show.

Like James said, just Google Heroes Last Season and you'll get plenty of entertainment blogs about it being canceled, as well as the status of other shows whose life hangs in the balance. There are also some really good Heroes forums where you can reminisce about the show.

I watched the original V miniseries and TV show marathon on Syfy before the V remake aired, and I loved it, especially the original 1983 miniseries. The remake definitely gets extra points from me for starring Elizabeth Mitchell (Lost) and Scott Wolf (Party of Five) along with all the sci fi awesomeness that it brings to network tv

Chuck was renewed by NBC, apparently for a 13 episode season. I've watched like 2 episodes of Chuck, but I'm sure there are people here who will welcome the news of it's renewal

Yeah I was a fan of the original miniseries and the TV show even though the TV show was cheesy most shows back than were cheesy anyway which made it good believe it or not.

I like what they are doing with the remake. I like how they don't shove the Visitors true agenda out in the open and in fact it makes you wonder what their true agenda is anyway. You know in the original miniseries their agenda was to take us for food and some as soldiers and our water just wondering if that's the same agenda with the remake and I like how they are making you wait and wonder props to the writers and producers.

NBC announced the show's cancellation on May 14, 2010, due to the high costs of production, diminished viewing and an increase in other programming. However, it is looking into ways to conclude the storylines with a possible mini-series or movie, which was confirmed by Kring in a message to its fans.

I really hope they do a miniseries or movie to have some closure at least. It was a fun ride, though obviously nothing could beat season one.

I really hope they make a movie also! There could be some cool stuff done with the worldwide reaction to Claire's coming out about her ability.

I'm glad the current Heroes graphic novel series is still being made, although I'm not sure what they'll do once part 8 is released 5/24. Hopefully they can keep the graphic novels going, or maybe even continue the Heroes Evolutions stuff in some format.

If she is in it it will become a all time grossing movie just because of the heroes fans going to it who want to finally see Clair die.
