I really enjoy the animal kingdom! So far I have the Trials of Life, Planet Earth, Blue Planet, and Life. I'm primarily interested in the animal kingdom but I do like nature (trees, plants, rainforest, etc.) as well. I'm wondering if there are some other nature dvd's that you would recommend?

*Please no Creationism or Evolution stuff. I ask that you respect that.

I love the planet earth series so much I bought it on bluray. Although technically they do slightly talk about evolution which at times ruins it. But most people ignore the comments because all wee see is Gods amazing creation. I will say I bought the Life and Earth version that had David Attenborough voice over because I'm used to him in documentaries. I didn't want the Oprah version, her voice isn't as soothing.

I can't say I can't say I know of any other good ones. THere was one by the guys that made those other ones. It was about underwater creatures I believe. I may be wrong and thinking of the Life one though.

The only other thing I can think of if you love the animal kingdom is Nature. Its a PBS program. I've been watching it since I was a teen:
Nature on PBS | Watch award-winning wildlife documentaries

I think they have dvds to. They may even have episodes you can watch online. As far as I know they don't really talk about evolution. Maybe once and awhile they say something like "The butterfly evolved to have such patterns" or something like that.

Thanks xfreakazoidx :)

I thought about the show "Nature" but for some reason it doesn't hold my attention like the others. I don't exactly know why but it just doesn't.

Blue Planet is about underwater life. At least that's the one I have. It's amazing. It's narrated by David Attenborough also.

I know there's National Geographic, but they haven't been getting the best reviews. So I don't know. I'll keep looking though.

Well nature doesn't tend to not show as much in one episode. It usually focuses in on one animal at a time. The Earth series though covers way more and the stunning crisp and clear images draw you alot. Yeah I gave up on Nat Geo a few years ago. Its like they are out of ideas or something.

The Planet Earth series is just beautiful. While I had never saw the series before, I do remember seeing an under water clip of the elephants and thought that was amazing!

Out of all the series I think I like the Trials of Life the best. I think it's because it's by subject like "Friends & Rivals". So I know what I'm getting ready to see. It also takes me back for some reason to the days of the show Wild Kingdom which I grew up watching.

Either way the Animal Kingdom just blows me away.

Willie T Thank you for such a pleasant surprise!

I really enjoyed the series Human Planet. It's done by the BBC so you know it's good.
Obviously, by the name you can tell this show focuses on humans and the numerous ways we've adapted to different environments all over the world. From plains to jungles to deserts and life at sea to life in an urban city.
I found it to be fascinating how humans can adapt to almost any environment on earth.

Finally a nature show about the most amazing animal on earth. Homo sapiens.

Another one of my favorites is Earth from space. It made me appreciate how truly beautiful and complex our planet is.

I forgot I started this thread! :o ^_^

I don't think I've seen Frozen Planet or Earth from Space. I'll have to check those out. Thanks!
