so have been pondering these verses ... ie the nations

Revelation 7:9

After this I looked, and behold, a great multitude that no one could number, from every nation, from all tribes and peoples and languages, standing before the throne and before the Lamb, clothed in white robes, with palm branches in their hands,

Revelation 22:2

English Standard Version
through the middle of the street of the city; also, on either side of the river, the tree of life with its twelve kinds of fruit, yielding its fruit each month. The leaves of the tree were for the healing of the nations.

so seems there will be nations .... the only thing (thus far) I come up with is that there will be ethic people groups but without any predigest .... no racism (finally!!!) .... ethic differences but without any malice of any kind.

Your thoughts? other scripture?

1st John 3:2 - tells us we will be as he is and that he will be in his true form when he comes back.
1 John 3:2 - Bible Gateway

2nd Corinthians 5:1-8 tell us of our new heavenly bodies.

Bible Gateway passage: 2 Corinthians 5 - New Living Translation

1st Corinthians 15:50 tells us flesh and blood cannot enter into heaven.

1 CORINTHIANS 15:50 KJV "Now this I say, brethren, that flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of God; neither doth corruption..."

Yet they use the word Nations - is it possible that is the way the translators understood the Hebrew word meanings?

don't believe so .... because is very descriptive of what a nation (people group) is (tribes, peoples, languages)

Revelation 7:9

After this I looked, and behold, a great multitude that no one could number, from every nation, from all tribes and peoples and languages, standing before the throne and before the Lamb, clothed in white robes, with palm branches in their hands,

You can go look at the greek here .... no doubt it is talking about different races

Okay - I "never" indicated that scripture was not referring to the different so-called races of people, different nationalities of people, or different languages of people - but referring that "flesh and blood" - the bodies human have now will not be in heaven.
I see that scripture as identifying - that some people from every nation, kindred, and tongue, of the earth will be saved, not just people of the 12 tribes of Israel. Telling us that God has no preference to any one group of people but salvation is offered to all who accept him. Written as a way of identifying.

Scripture tells us there will be a new heaven and a new Earth and those that Christ saved will be on the "new earth" - Revelation chapter 21 - describes the new Earth no more oceans and no more sun - it doesn't refer to the saved of the earth residing in or being in the new heaven but on the new Earth with Christ the ruling. And that is people from all nationalities but not in flesh and blood bodies.

There are many people who believe that flesh and blood will be in heaven, that when you die you go directly to heaven or hell, I am just not one of them.
There are many people that believe flesh and blood will never enter heaven, as I do.
Only in the end will one know for sure and then one really wouldn't care, would not even be on one in mind.

Zechariah 14:16 And it shall come to pass that everyone who is left of all the nations which came against Jerusalem shall go up from year to year to worship the King, the Lord of hosts, and to keep the Feast of Tabernacles. 17 And it shall be that whichever of the families of the earth do not come up to Jerusalem to worship the King, the Lord of hosts, on them there will be no rain.

Isaiah 19:23 In that day there will be a highway from Egypt to Assyria, and the Assyrian will come into Egypt and the Egyptian into Assyria, and the Egyptians will serve with the Assyrians.

24 In that day Israel will be one of three with Egypt and Assyria—a blessing in the midst of the land, 25 whom the Lord of hosts shall bless, saying, “Blessed is Egypt My people, and Assyria the work of My hands, and Israel My inheritance.”

My view is those scriptures are for the readers of all generations to understand people from everywhere can / will receive salvation and is an example of what the new heaven and a new Earth will be like in descriptive ways that can be envisioned for each generation throughout the thousand years.

From the Old Testament also
Isaiah 65:17 tells us God will create a heaven and new Earth - that the former things will not be remembered nor come into mind.
Bible Gateway passage: Isaiah 65:17 - English Standard Version

So if the former things won't be remembered or come into mind, there will be no such thing as races, ethnic groups, no different nationalities, there will be no divided. And on a new Earth there will be no more Egypt or Syria or Assyria or any nation, country, continent, that exist or have existed or will exist on this Earth. According to the description written in Revelation 21, the new earth is big ball of land, no seas, only a river passing from one end to the other.
2nd Peter 3:10 tells us the heavens shall pass away with a great noise, element and the Earth will burn up with fervent heat.
Bible Gateway passage: 2 Peter 3:10-13 - King James Version
Back to 1st Corinthians 15:50 flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of God. What is of the Earth is of the Earth and corruptible.
