This is for all of the CF community.

I have been interested in the Thompson Chain reference Bible for some time. Unfortunately, it is not available in the NASB updated version. (The 1995 update to the NASB) The publisher has told me that there are no plans to release an updated version because they have no demand. I tend to think that there is a demand but nobody is saying anything about it.

Therefore, I am setting up this poll to gage the feelings of those on the forums. You can also go the the publisher's website (www.kirkbride.com) and make your comments known. They have a very simple online comment form.

I'd be interested. But I seriously doubt that a poll is going to convince them.
Not necessarily, but they claimed that there was no market for this.

I believe they are mistaken. The poll is just for fun and information. I'd like to encourage anyone who would be interested in this product to contact the publisher at the link above and tell them so.

Besides, it never hurts to try.

I own a KJV Thompson Chain, and it is great for Bible study. I used to use the NASB in my early years of Bible study (wore the thing out pitifully). I also like the NKJV too. The NASB is an excellent (in my opinion) version because it is more of a formal translation - that is word-for-word. Although I have plenty of Bibles at this time, if I were to buy a new Bible and the Thompson Chain had NASB available, I would definitely consider buying it. I would rate the NASB barely above the KJV simply because of the easier to understand modern language from the KJV.
