I wish I could it sounds like a lot of fun... but I have a 70 hr. workweek... that leaves me with Sunday.

I can imagine the format allows you a lot of freedom, though.

i thought i could but then i looked at my schedule--i mean, really looked--and i've decided that since i have my thesis due in the middle of november it would be best if i didn't participate.

I think I'm going to try it.

I have an outline and a rough draft, very rough, of a novel I started like four years ago. I think I might just try doing it.

I figure I'll probably think of something on Nov. 1. That's what I always do.

I'm doing it. I've been lurking around that site for a few days now. Although I'm not that sure what I'm going to write about, but I have a few ideas.

you can usually find an adopt-a-plot thread hanging around the forums if you're having trouble thinking of something. i think it's in plot doctoring.

Alternately you can try the Lel method of just starting to write and ending up with what you end up with. One year I started out with a mystery/sexual identity novel and ended up with about half a novel on teaching monkeys to climb trees.

I might try, if my workload allowed, but likely my workload will not allow. Even if I did try, it would not be on any of the fiction that I had been plotting for years to publish, but it would be a really simple fiction.

that's usually the way i go. i almost never plot and never have a plot idea until i start writing in november. doing things on the fly is the best part.

Mine characters and plot were started as a group thread here at CF. After a couple of days, the thread was dropped, but I kept thinking and writing an outline for the story anyway.

Ideas can come from anywhere.

Make up something about the person standing in line ahead of you at the bank, if you like. Why are they at the bank? What do they need the money for? Where did they get the money? Who does the money really belong to? Are the trying to avoid paying their taxes?

A plot like that could be really interesting.

Nano is too consuming for me as a student. But I may have a go. I never complete my story. I have ideas that flow in my head that never get written.
