they are funny....especially if they are the story ones!

Have you ever read the Bible that way....start at the end of the chapter and read to the beginning. It takes on a different meaning. (not that it is to be read that way...but it is interesting)

In Chile that is how they eat theirs. Then add tomatoes, guacamole, a type of sourkraut, and top it with a huge glob of mayo. It may sound strange but it is soooo good!

I love mashed potato in tomato soup! I get a lot of strange looks when I mention this, but it's something I learned from my great-grandmother. She in turned believed it was a German dish and that it was in her family because her father was "of German extraction". Years later, doing the family history, I found out there's not one drop of German blood in our veins. Her father was the illegitimate son of a Norfolk governess and a London chemist (US: pharmacist)!

In hot weather I like a cucumber sandwich with "salad cream" - supposedly a British "cheap" version of mayo made with egg yolk and vinegar. The taste of the vinegar is quite pronounced, which I like.
