Name Associations

I know that there is a thread for names, but I wanted a more specific one. Name associations are a big deal to me. I like to know what people visualize (in looks and personality and maybe even career-wise) when they hear a name. I'm going to toss out some names and if any of you could give me your associations with those names, that would be great. And if anyone else wants to list names for associations, that would be great, too.


These are a mix of two lists, mine and another person's.

Some of these associations are biased by my experience with people who have these names, but here goes:

Nathan -a cool guy, kind of funny
Henry-I had a bully named Henry so I have a lot of negativity attached with this one
Gideon-interesting Bible person. A lot of strength of character that just needs encouragement.

Beverly -every Beverly I've known has been intelligent if a bit serious
Sabrina-nice and sweet, not very bright
Lillian-the mom from the Munsters. Hot, but also a vampire.

Nathan - nerdy, quiet and insecure.
Henry - stubborn, masculine, and sporty.
Gideon - computer geek complete with eyeglasses and cowlick.

Beverly - quiet, responsible and serious.
Sabrina - ditzy and blonde.
Lillian - beautiful and graceful.

 

[LadyOfMystery]

Nathan - Sporty, tall, confident.
Henry - Well spoken, charming, smart.
Gideon - Total book worm, glasses, really smart.

Beverly - Nice, funny, pretty.
Sabrina - ditzy (I saw that too, tink!), fun, pretty.
Lillian - Smart, outgoing, dainty.

John- average guy, blends into the crowd
Lucas- frat boy and football player
James- nerdy but popular

Abigail- snobby if uses full name. Abby-friendly and intelligent
Peyton- party girl
Marissa- friendly, smart, creative

Nathan - town prankster, troublemaker, scrawny

Henry - Run of the mill average bloke, a little on the dim side

Gideon - computer geek, introvert, generally pleasant but withdrawn

Beverly or "Bev" - needs to go to the gym and stop eating so many cakes and pies and saturated animal fat

Sabrina - Beautiful, mature and big hearted woman or/ bratty teenage mouthy kid

Lillian - peaceful, quiet woman

I like that there's a few different views of Henry, but everyone seems to be the same about Gideon. lol
