Naked in front of parents/siblings

This is a spin-off from the breastfeeding thread. Since it has been asserted that a "vast majority" of people find daughters being nude in their mother's presence or son's being nude in their father's presence is "sick" and "perverse" I am interested in what the general consensus is on this issue. Here are a few questions:

1. Is it sick, perverted, abnormal, immodest or inappropriate for a teenage daughter to sit in the bathroom while her mother is taking a bath?

2. Is it sick, perverted, abnormal, immodest or inappropriate for a grown man to urinate standing next to his father or male sibling?

3. Is it sick, perverted, abnormal, immodest or inappropriate for two sisters or two brothers to change clothes in front of one another?

I am not sure it is "normal (as in: it´s the norm or the predominantly held position)", but working from the assumption that you meant something along the lines of "healthy (as opposed to sick)", I voted "normal" nonetheless.

The idea that it is "sick/perverted" seems to tell me more about the eye of the observer than about the behaviour itself.

While I see nothing wrong with it, I voted for the third option, that it depends on the relationship. It is not wrong to NOT undress in front of siblings and parents either. I give leeway for people to be culturally divergent on this as neither choice harms anyone.

I think more people would find it weird to be naked with a parent/sibling of the opposite gender, surely?

Either way, it's fine. In some cultures, being naked around family is common.

This is typical of what I expected of you! A vague general thread, not specifying the manner in which you are naked in front of mothers, fathers, sons and daughters.

This is sick and this poll is invalid because you have been far too vague about the question. You're sly, aren't you? Do you see your child naked because they're 3 and you're bathing them? Do you see your mum bare breasted because you are some sick pervert mother that breastfeeds them still at 8 yrs old? Do you see your son naked because he's 8 and got hit in the crotch with a baseball? Why don't you ask an honest question?

And for everyone who reads this, this poster is happy to change naked in front of her mother. I'm not talking about a 5 yr old girl that is getting dressed by her mother. I'm talking about a 30 yr old woman that is over at her mother's house and changes in front of her stark naked.

Why don't you have the guts to ask the question right? So I'll put up another poll, one that isn't lying and scheming like this abomination. And you're a liar and you know it. I already explained well to you that there is nothing wrong for certain families when kids sleep, dress and bathe together, because of limited family means and large families. Like Khameo, to be honest I don't think the sex of the people involved actually matters that much either if the family has the right relationship. I don't think nudity is frightening or dangerous, and I also think it needs to be desexualised and that nudity in the presence of family members is a great way to do that.

In reply to the main post:- along as the family has a healthy family type relationship then I dont see anything wrong with it. Im never really sure why nudity is that bigger deal. The vast majority of people look better with their clothes on to me.

Sure, I have the occasional misfortune of seeing my brother's willy (my, isn't he growing!) when he leaves his damn bedroom door open but I try not to let it traumatize me.
I personally prefer to have my privacy when I change. Heck, I've been in public changing rooms and blushed in surprise at a fellow woman passing by in nothing but her skin but I know that it's not really a big deal.
