There is NOTHING to explain when it is self-explanatory. The theme of the thread is clear. The title of the video is in harmony with it. There is no rational reason to claim to be baffled as usual unless bafflement is merely a kneejerk reaction to suspicions of ID propaganda. But bafflement over the video itself? Naaaaahhh!
BTW
This thread isn't about ID propaganda.
The fact that you can't (or simply refuse) to explain what is self explanatory about the video is telling.
This video is self explanatory as well.
The video i posted is self explanatory and applies to posts in this thread. The two videos are not comparable due to differences in subject matter and focus. Cognitive dissonance is a specific psychological phenomenon which I briefly studied in my abnormal psychology course and which definitely might require elaboration to comprehend properly in depth. In contrast, the video I posted isn't focused on any specific thing. It is a general overview of various unexplainable mental phenomena tagged as mysterious or difficult to explain. Asking me for a summary of it seems peevish. .
Then I should watch it to see what it says. Thanx! The video i posted is self explanatory and applies to posts in this thread.
In psychology, cognitive dissonance is the mental stress (discomfort) experienced by a person who simultaneously holds two or more contradictory beliefs, ideas, or values, when performing an action that contradicts those beliefs, ideas, and values; or when confronted with new information that contradicts existing beliefs, ideas, and values.[1][2]
Leon Festinger's theory of cognitive dissonance focuses on how human beings strive for internal consistency. A person who experiences inconsistency tends to become psychologically uncomfortable, and so is motivated to try to reduce the cognitive dissonance occurring, and actively avoids situations and information likely to increase the psychological discomfort.[1
Yes, that is one example. The most common example on this site, is when a person holds a tightly held belief, that is important to protect for their personal psyche and that belief is contradicted by well evidenced reality and this reality is presented to them. A person has 2 choices at that point. They either get to a point where they eventually recognize evidence to counter their belief and they either alter the belief, or give up on it altogether. Or, if it is far too painful for one to acknowledge their belief may be wrong, they will then engage the defense mechanisms to protect it; confirmation bias, pure denial and a need to misrepresent the evidence that counters their belief. When the latter is the choice, what follows is quite predictable and follows a dinstinct pattern. An example of cognitive dissonance is when a person might feel bisexual attractions but finds one of the attractions unacceptable.

You consider fallacious reasoning cool?Cool
So you admit that the atheist modus operandi is irrational?I find observing human behavior cool.
I never attempted to bring God into this thread. That is YOUR idea.
Some of us are unable to watch the videoWhy does a self-explanatory video need explanation? If there was something confusing concerning it or if the those watching it were expected to be below normal intelligence-then it would need one. But neither, I a assuming, is the case.
BTW
How can you be a newbie with approx 43,000 messages?
You ignored post 152. Please respond.Five mysteries of the brain - BBC News
For centuries, the brain was a mystery. Only in the last few decades have scientists begun to unravel its secrets. In recent years, using the latest technology and powerful computers further key discoveries have been made.
However, much remains to be understood about how the brain works. Here are five important areas of study attempting to unlock the last secrets of the brain.
So it is an erroneous inference? My apologies.Major league strawman. Quote the post i stated what you claim here.

So how about you explain to us what the point being made is?
I understand that there is considerable frustration involved in discussing things with persons who always disagree. Sometimes it becomes necessary to take a breather. But so far I am enjoying the discussions. Thanks for your positive feedback. Very much appreciated. Please feel free to PM me. God bless! You are such a rare mentality and i wish if i could meet you in real life actually. Truly saddened how they cannot benefit from this conversation but just use the same sarcastic stance that will never open their minds to any further reasoning than theirs, that's why i reduced my time debating atheists (some of them are open minded but trust me, rare.) and now i aim at comforting Christians more.
Of course you're not dreaming. Why would anyone think they're dreaming? It's not a dream. That's preposterous. Never listen to some who tries to convince you that you're in a dream because you're not in a dream. No way, no how. Not dreaming. Now, if you'll excuse me, I have a job to do.
