I have a cousin that I keep hanging out with so he might change. He was expelled from high school and he was in drug rehab for kids. I keep trying to tell him about the Word, and he seemed receptive at first. Now, he just doesnt care. He said, "I don't care about anything and I'm proud." I really get mad at him because he doesnt have to be so stubborn. This kid needs some help before he turns out like his "friends." I dont think I can do anymore. Hopefully, some prayer helps. Thanks

CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Friends Are A Blessing

My eyes are filled with tears right now! Cause I have a brother that I am trying so hard to get him to seek Gods word and kingdom ! He is into drugs as well, and it breaks my heart to see how this young man ( my brother) use to be the straight A - student in school , so out going, and into serving God in everyway possible....oneday he gave his life away to satan to be nothing! When I try to talk to him about God he gets angary with me, he does not want to hear me out! I try to pray with him but he says he does not want me to pray for him, with him! I do not want to push God on him, so what I have got to where I do is show him that I love him very much, and I show him the meaning of strong love! He got into trouble last week for drugs, and he called me up and wanted me to bail him out! I sure wanted to so despartly, but I did not! The more we help them the less they want to help them selves! I let him know that I love him, I truely do. But he has to learn to love himself before he can ever begin to love anyone! Just contuine to pray for your cousin! I know you love him and you want what is best for him ! God hears your prayers! I promise you the more you let your cousin know you love him, the more it becomes an impact upon his life! You may think e does not hear you, but I promise you, when trouble is knocking upon his door, he thinks about all that you have said! God has powers that work better than magic. God loves your cousin, and loves you as well! Don't ever give up on your cousin, what your doing is a blessing from God! Contuine to let your light Shine! He will begin to see that you have something he does not, and someday if he has the chance he'll come around to want to taste what you have! Good work sweetheart! You have not failed God!
