My Prayers???

If I have offended anyone in my prayers or demeaned God in anyway, I do appologise to you all...if you can show me which post was offensive that might help...I prayed according to the grace afforded me now in the knowledge of God and His way. Trying to believe the whole counsel of God thru His word.

There are many different theological views represented here at CF...and maybe I should just keep silent about mine. At least in GE.

(((())))) I sooo agree with this, but I also pray believing He uses our prayers as a means to accomplish His will. Some "Calvinists" refuse to pray for anything and I am not of that stream of thinking. Jesus told us to pray at all times and not lose heart (LK 18:1).
I do confess to losing heart at times, when answers seem to be delayed, then I look around and see He has changed quite a bit inside my heart for the better...He is amazing!

Aah, Calvinists! Please do not take offense, as I see that you are also a Calvinists. However, they miss the mark on so many issues. One man (not a Calvinist) was getting on my case with his idea "why to pray since God knows our needs". I did not get involved in a debate with him, instead I started praying for the Lord to teach him how to pray. Now, he leads 3 prayer sessions each week. And he is adamant not to miss one!
One more thing. I do not know how His will and our prayers intersect. However, I do notice that He places a prayer in our heart as a prelude to execution of His will. Many times as I do not know how to pray for a certain situation I ask the Lord to give me a prayer. And indeed He burdens my heart with a certain prayer that is perfect for that situation.

You have a lot of insight Dianac, there are quite a few different streams amongst the Calvinists...I try to listen to the ones who keep Jesus in the center of everything...as well as God the Father and the Holy Spirit...LOL...Thus I try to avoid "hyper-calvinism".

If you feel led to pray for me....go right ahead.

The main issue in Calvinism for me is how we are initailly saved...the debate over this question has been going on for centuries and I do not like to debate, I prefer to hear the teachers teach. There is probably a lot I don't know about J. Calvin, so I like to say I am Reformed...then there are different streams of theology there...I stick to the gospel and the cross as much as I can trying to keep it simple and not go beyond what is really "mine" in the Lord.
