My Prayer

Lord, I do not fully trust you,
And I maybe never will.
I cannot seem to do your work,
Will I ever fit the bill?

I cannot seem to love you,
As strongly as the others.
I cannot love my enemy,
I can't see all men as brothers.

I believe that you died for me,
But is that quite enough?
Will I stand strong in the trials of life,
Can I hang on when I have it rough?

Will I ever see your smiling face?
Will you ever take my hand?
I'm sure you know all the answers,
I know you've got it all planned.

So help me, Lord, to stay with you,
Teach me your lessons, I pray.
And then I can joyfully praise you,
In Heaven one glorious day.

i think i'll be looking for everything you write. God is on your heart. you won't write these things if you weren't meditating on God's will. this proves that you are His child. everyone has ups and downs in their hearts. there is a season of everything... including feelings.
God uses our spiritual season to season us. i love that you write about it.
