So, you're voting NO?Technically, the Big Bang is still happening. When the bomb explodes, you don't say the explosion finished 1/100th of a second later, do you? At that point, there's still a fireball, still an expanding shockwave, etc. The Big Bang is simply that portion of the universe's expansion when the universe was compact, hot and dense.
So, you're voting NO?It is an event that started in the OT period, as you would say, but it has continued into the present day.
So, you're voting NO?
(See why I call these things "challenges"?)
Well, I'll admit, I did learn something. The challenge is entirely because of your own limited idea. Is your life something that happened in the past, present, or future? The answer is all three, because your life is not a single point in time. Likewise, the Big Bang is not a single point in time. It was taking place in what you call the OT period, it continued through the NT period, and it continues in the present day.
Well, I'll admit, I did learn something.
To wit, that the Big Bang is an ongoing process; not a single event in time.
Thanks for the info.
Well, I knew what I was asking, when I asked it.So, I have to ask...
Knowing this, how would you yourself now answer this challenge?
The last time I looked it wasn’t.But is it an Old Testament event?
What year did it occur? The last time I looked it wasn’t.
About 13,800,000,000 BC.What year did it occur?
Wouldn't that be an Old Testament event? covered in Genesis 1:1 by those who believe in the Gap Theory?About 13,800,000,000 BC.
Wouldn't that be an Old Testament event? covered in Genesis 1:1 by those who believe in the Gap Theory?
No argument there, sir.You had better ask somebody who believes in the gap theory, but either way, there is no explicit mention of the Big Bang in the Bible.
Howdie, Dan!Hullo AV.
