My new name

HI ALL--this is Imblessed

I have just spent many frustrating minutes trying to log in with my old name and the computer(or site) just won't let me.

My brother came over yesterday and signed up under his name to do some posting and now I can't get back to mine.

I tried EVERYTHING, clearing cookies, changing passwords, the works, and every single time I logged back in, it would take me back to his name to sign in.

I'd erase that out, put in Imblessed, try to put in my password. It would say, wrong password, click here to get your new password info. I'd click and it would send me a new password for MY BROTHERS USERNAME!!!

ARRRRGGGGGHHHHHH

I'm a bit frustrated.

Deep breath.......

Ok, all is not so bad though. I've been wanting to change my username anyway, but didn't want to lose out all the privilages that come from being a member for so long.

I guess this means I get to start over, AGAIN.

(some of you may remember this happened to me once before, a looong time ago....)

anyway, make note of it. I'm now OWEN7 (it's an old college nickname)

Have you tried sending an email (or pm) to one of the administrators?

not this time. I tried last time this happened and there didn't seem to be anything they could do about it.

I must be missing a step somewhere when I clear out the cookies or something, because when I cleared everything out and turned off and back on the computer and tried to come back to the site, it still had my brothers username stuck in the username place without the password. I'd erase it, put in my username, type in my password and it still wouldn't work. I'd check all my cookies, they were all clear, so I'd start the process of getting a new password and it e-mailed me my brothers username.

Part of the problem may be that I had to use my e-mail address to put together my brothers username a while ago(at my mom's house) because he doesn't have internet service. That way, when he's visiting my mom and dad, he can get on line and not post under my name. Well, that worked fine until he came over here and started posting with his username. For some reason or other, the computer(or this site) decided that that was the new username and just will NOT let me get mine back. the ONLY way I could get out of his username was to register for a new name.

it's enough to drive ya batty!

Oh well. I'll survive. I'll just donate some money to get some blessings and eventually I'll have enough posts to do links and stuff. No biggie.

In the grand scheme of things....it's purty small......

It sure would be nice to get my blessings and stuff transferred to my new name though.....

you know, I always thought the Imblessed name seemed a bit cocky....not that I don't feel blessed or anything.....

I think you are right about the shared e-mail address--I think that really messed things up.

I"M BACK!

Bradford was kind enough to figure out the whole problem, which was that the e-mail address I used to set up Imblessed is no longer usable, since I'm on cable internet now and not satellite internet.

whew....

anyway, I'm going to go and edit my first post.....

go ahead, I can take it......I grew up with 8 siblings after all, and I was the baby....so yeah, I can take it(but I can dish it back out too! )
