Now that my first year of college is done, I've got time to roleplay. Let's see if I can come up with something good. If you would like to join in, let me know.
The year takes place two hundred years from the present. Androids have become a common, household tool, and travel between earth and the moon has become comparable to the modern-day cruise.
On Mars, where plants were being used to make the planet hospitable, there was a fossil discovered. Searching the remains for any organic material that could possibly be used to clone, they were successful in finding a single living cell in the fossil.
The creature was successfully cloned, but to their folly, the creature escapes. No one knows where or how to find it, because the creature is a shape-shifter, taking any form it pleases. But before the creature escaped, the researchers found an interesting poison in the tip of its tail when the creature was in its standard, dino-like form. When tested on chimps, they discovered the poison's affects. The chimps quickly become aggressive toward one another, gaining increased strength, and their teeth become elongated and sharp. The chimps that survived fed on the others' blood. And so the poison was called "vampire juice."
Evidently, the creature had been multipling in urban places, because the vampire disease had become a quickly spreading threat throughout almost every continent. Unlike the chimps, however, human vampires seemed to retain their reasoning abilities dispite their aggressive lust for blood, and they were hard to find among the innocents. And so the vampire hunter agency was formed to minimize this new threat, and to search for ways to discover the alien life form that started it all and erradicate it.
Among the human members of the VHA, androids were also made to help along investigations and confrontations.
I'll post info on my first character later to give you guys an idea of what these guys are like. But if you like the concept, let me know. And no, not all characters must be from the VHA. We need some villains, and I have one major villain in mind. And I suppose if you can think of some other type of hero, that would be fine too.
EDIT (5-9-08): I made a thread for my character Captain Ernie Carter. Click the link to see.
