OK this short story about my recent interaction with my girlfriend's five year old granddaughter blew my mind! The five year old's name is Kylie and her parents are not religious.

This is how the spirit of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ is working in my life. I mentioned to Kylie that GOD loves her and what Jesus did for us, the best I can and from there she has been asking me about GOD and she says she sings about HIM when i go for my bike ride.

Her song goes something like "GOD lives in the sky and HE loves everybody in the whole world and when you are good HE is happy but when you are bad HE's sad and somebody killed HIM a long time ago so now HE is in heaven"

I am a Christian but I am very weak and give in to my sinful nature all the time. So I was feeling depressed and she comes up to me and says did you pray today? let's pray, I want to pray with you.

I taught her how to pray and she just ran with it. I was like I don't really feel like praying she insisted and convinced me so we did and she wanted to keep going like 5 prayers so we did.

Her prayer was so beautiful and I didn't teach her the words they were all her own. I was amazed by how the holy spirit was moving through her and trying to touch my heart.

She said "GOD thank you for my mom and grandma and I love you, thank you for all my toys and I wish I could kiss you but I can't because you are all the way in heaven" It's making me emotional writing this and thinking of what she said and she goes outside with me and we were looking up at the stars and she screamed GOD I LOVE YOU!

The whole thing had me in awe. I just had to share. It was amazing. There is much more but that's all I can remember. I know it may be fun for her to interact with me on something that I relate to but I want to feel I taught her about Jesus and he is touching her heart. She is innocent and closer to him than I am because sin is not in her life as yet I assume...right?

I am not Catholic but I have a 2 foot picture of Jesus from the Catholic Church and I just look at it as a representation of HIM. HE has HIS arms open like come as you are so it makes me feel good. Kylie runs up to the picture and hugs it, it was so presious. The picture is about as tall as she is lol.

Her grandma is going to get her a kids Bible that we can read together so i am looking forward to that.

Jesus is something else, HE is speaking to me through this little girl.

Wow this is such a heart warming post, it got me a bit teary. Little kids say what's in their heart and are pretty much raw with their words and emotions. I have two little girls and just like Kylie, they just blow me away with their thoughts.

When my daughter was about 2 or 3 she woke me and my wife up and smacking us in our face she said, 'Jesus is coming back and no one is ever going to hurt him again'. My wife had told me she did that once before but you know how you take that with a grain of salt. God speaks to children, just as he does to us all. For some reason, children seem better able to listen. Perhaps that's why we must become as children to enter the kingdom of God.

It got me a bit teary too, i dont have kids. I am an only child and i lost my mom in 2008. My father has never been in my life and i turned my back on GOD when my mom passed and got angry at everything and everyone and am still not following HIM the way i used to but i still try to pray and speak to HIM sometimes but its not like it was on my end.

Anyway from i met Kylie from she was born till now she has been trying to soften my heart and now by asking me about GOD it's like something miraculous is going on. I just know it. And on top of it all no one in our house is religious i think they may even be atheist or agnostic.

Maybe i am here for a reason i don't know I like to think so though

I said will you tell your cousins and grandma about GOD? She said no because she is shy i said i am too and i feel the same way, I told her that is what GOD would like us to do.

I don't normally post on sites like this but it was almost midnight and something told me to search for a christian forum and post what happened so i did. Maybe it's just me or maybe it's Jesus. I like to think it's the latter

wow that is so deep on so many levels, it's really making me think about my life and the purpose of it.
