• The General Mental Health Forum is now a Read Only Forum. As we had two large areas making it difficult for many to find, we decided to combine the Mental Health & the Recovery sections of the forum into Mental Health & Recovery as a whole. Physical Health still remains as it's own area within the entire Recovery area.

If you are having struggles, need support in a particular area that you aren't finding a specific recovery area forum, you may find the General Struggles forum a great place to post. Any any that is related to emotions, self-esteem, insomnia, anger, relationship dynamics due to mental health and recovery and other issues that don't fit better in another forum would be examples of topics that might go there.

If you have spiritual issues related to a mental health and recovery issue, please use the Recovery Related Spiritual Advice forum. This forum is designed to be like Christian Advice, only for recovery type of issues. Recovery being like a family in many ways, allows us to support one another together. May you be blessed today and each day.

Ive made a total [wash my mouth][wash my mouth][wash my mouth][wash my mouth] of myself over a long period of my life, 2 decades or so, but right now I am finding it hard to do anything at all.

I have spent the last month just rotting in bed mostly, cant face the world at all.

This latest downpoint is perhaps some form of turning point for me, but I don't know where to start.

I have many issues to deal with, mostly related to my children and my poor mental health.

It is hard to talk about them to anyone, especially "professionals" because they are not christian in their approach and anything but forgiving and caring..

God loves you, my friend. In him, we always have a purpose for living our lives. I also have been at that point in my life. during the summer of my freshman year of high school, i had no friends and felt no purpose for living. I believed in Christ, but my faith was at a low point. I gave my life back to him, and within a month, I had close to 30 new friends, a new school and a whole new purpose to live through him.

I recommend getting back into the word and trying to find a Christian psychologist who can help you to seek the Lord.

He is faithful when we are faithless

Welcome to CF, and to the recovery area.
You will find that this is a very supportive and non-judgemental area. We've all messed up in various ways, many of us are struggling with mental illness, and we are in no position to judge you, brother.
If you keep reading and posting, I hope that you will be able to trust us enough to share your problems and let us pray with you and for you. I found that I was able to write about things here before it was possible to share them with anyone in 'real life'

I am praying for you, and hope that things get easier for you
None of us can get ourselves into a mess that God can't get us out of.
