  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

I declared and sent my resignation letter for my job at October 26. There, I stated that my last day of work is December 2, and I will be effectively separated from my company the next day.

I am thinking of not going to work by December 2 due to health concerns, particularly lack of sleep from this graveyard schedule of my work, but I am tied between complying to agreement and balancing health with proper sleep.

"Obeying your masters in the flesh" versus "your body is the temple of the Spirit" are my two main principles at play and whichever I follow, I think I would be unlawful with one of them.

Please help, and Biblical quotes will do help me in this pondering. Thanks and blessing to you all!

Unless your about to die I dint think you need any Scripture on this one,you have agreed to the contract what’s one more day unless coffins waiting you get a great deal of satisfaction out of keeping your word and also hats off to you for staying and working at a job you dislike for so long,if I was a former at the job you are at at the present and things don’t work out at where your going I would hire you back because you are good for your word.I believe I’m not wrong in reading your post that you would feel guilty if you didn’t go to work tomorrow looks like you have a good character so it’s really up to you.

Some verses that come to mind are these...as you may note, these verses are about being honest/keeping your word.
I know employers tend to be more stern in your country, so hang in there for
one more day, cause you don't need your employer putting out a bad word
against you.

Colossians 3:9-10
"Do not lie to one another, since you have taken off the old self with its practices,
and have put on the new self, which is being renewed in knowledge in the image of its Creator."

Numbers 30:2
"If a man makes a vow to the LORD, or takes an oath to bind himself with a binding obligation, he shall not violate his word; he shall do according to all that proceeds out of his mouth."

James 5:12
"Now above all, my brothers, do not swear, either by heaven or by earth or with any other oath. Your “yes” must be “yes,” and your “no” must be “no,” so that you won’t fall under condemnation."

Let your spoken word as well as your written word be kept.
Pray for strength as you do your job, and try to rest as best as you can...you
don't have long to go...one more day.

Very small doses of Melatonin can both help you get sleep and reset your sleep pattern. Not one milligram, but 1/4 Mg or less. I'm an expert, switching my sleep pattern every weekend, so twice a week.
