Thank you for the welcome. Music is what really drew me to the Orthodox Church. I was a P&W leader for years in several churches (non-denom, baptist) in the 90's. But the whole genre changed so much as the 2000's rolled in. I no longer saw it as edifying because the lyrics moved away from scripture and the whole scene became more performance focused than congregational focused, IMO. I still like the earlier scripture songs - they are a great way to learn the Word of God and be encouraged.Hello Harpgal!

I have found; in times of trouble; like we have with this CV-19; that listening to; and singing along to good Christian P&W music; can bring us closer to Jesus and His wonderful peace.
